Support Response:
1. What are the system requirements for viewing VioWorks on-line presentations?

PC users need:
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP, a 28.8K or faster Internet connection, a sound card, the free MS Internet Explorer (version 5 or above) or Netscape Navigator (version 4.7, 7.0 or above) and the free Windows Media Player or RealPlayer software.

Get the software you need.

2. The system setup check says my system is ready, but no video shows up when I launch a presentation.

This is usually caused by a network configuration which does not allow streaming media. You may have to contact your organization's network administrator to make sure that users are allowed to view streaming RealMedia and Windows Media content.

3. The system setup check says my "cookies" are disabled. What does this mean and why should I care?

Cookies are small files (typically less than 1K) that are stored on your computer to help a web site function. VioWorks stores a cookie on your machine when you log on to our site. This allows us to make sure you are a registered member when you launch a presentation.

4. What versions of Netscape Navigator work with VioWorks content?

Windows users who are running Netscape Navigator should choose the "VioPlayer" option. If you are a Windows user with Internet Explorer 4 or above installed, we recommend you use that browser.

5. The video/audio stream seems to get distorted or stop occasionally. Why is this happening?

Because the Internet is a computer network being used by millions of people simultaneously, some users may experience a temporary slowdown of data being sent to their computer. This will manifest itself as a distortion or blacking out of the video/audio portion of a presentation. Users who experience these problems may want to try viewing presentations at off peak Internet usage hours (before 4 PM and after 10 PM, Eastern Time, US). Users with Internet connections faster than a 56K modem will generally not experience these problems.
